| Ok...so I really have a lot to finish up before I go home in 45 minutes, but this is too funny to wait. The things we do in Children's Ministries! I'm sure if anyone saw me, they are really wondering...
One of our Sunday School teachers needed 6 empty 2-liter bottles for a project she's doing with the kids this Sunday morning. Well...I looked all over for discarded ones. I asked everyone I ran into if they had any and checked with the preschool to see if they had a stash, but all to no avail. So, I was forced to go buy them. I went to the Dollar Tree, and all they had was club soda (imagine that! definitely not something I'd want to chug!) So I brought them back to my office, and instead of lugging all of them to the bathroom, I decided to empty them out of my window...
And now, I have a carbonated mudhole outside of my window.
Life is never boring for too long around here.

| What do I loathe doing more than anything else in the world?
Making phone calls.
Now take a guess...what have I been doing all day at work?
Making phone calls.
How do I hate thee...let me count the ways! Calling...and calling and calling...isn't usually part of my duties at work (for which I'm thankful), but today it was. I had a list of over 30 people to call, and I think my blood pressure shot way up! And I understand, many of you probably have to make more calls than that every day for work. But I didn't sign up for this!!! This must sound like an awfully strange rant for those of you who aren't seized by fear everytime you pick up the phone, but there are those of us out there who are! And it's time the world recognized us! Hehe! (My friend Melanie relates, I know!) But the more I call, the easier it gets, so I suppose that all this torture is actually good for me. My dislike for calling must stem from an insecurity, or more probably, it's that I'm introverted and it's painful to talk (especially when it's not face to face) to people I don't know. Would you believe that my husband still doesn't believe that I'm introverted? I think it's because he's more introverted than I am, so he sees me as outgoing. I'm amazed every time I hear someone describe me as "bubbly", because that's not how I see myself. I suppose I am bubbly at times, but only because I force myself to be...except when I'm with friends, then the craziness is all natural! :)
Ok...enough introspection. Who wants to hear about that? And I love my job...I really do. I can handle the phone calls, because I love my job so much!
Cassie is coming! Cassie is coming! Cass & Cory are flying in tonight, and I'm so excited to get to see them! Hopefully they aren't delayed too much and we'll get to see them at the airport!

This picture makes me laugh! It was taken at my parents' church Christmas party, and our friend Greg (who's a cop), dressed up like Santa. Fun times. Fun times.
Ok...anyone who actually reads this is in trouble! I have mastered the art of downloading my pictures, and now you will pay! My problem was: the pictures I take are usually 4-5 MB, so they would've taken hours to download. Now that this smart cookie has figured out how to downsize her files, you can now get a glimpse into her world. muah haha.

this is Tia...my in-laws new puppy! she's a teacup Shih Tzu.
Tia is an adorable bundle of energy! Her older sister, Zoe (in the foreground of the picture), is now a year old, but she looks like a giant next to Tia. I don't think Zoe knows what to do now that she's not the baby anymore. My picture isn't that good (at least as a photographer, I'm ashamed), but I had to show her off!
| I'm feeling today like I'm in Office Space. Ok, so I've been working here for almost seven months now, but I don't know everything yet, especially not all the paperwork and forms and set-up dealios. I had to fill out a set-up request form, and I accidently (well, actually, I was told to) copied it and put it into an extra mailbox. Anyways, that all doesn't matter, but I got pulled aside twice by two different people to tell me what I did wrong and what I should do in the future. And I was only doing what I was told in the beginning! But it was all so Office Space and it was all I could do to keep from laughing. Did you get that memo about the cover page?
Brandon and I are completely hooked on "Lost." We're not usually home to watch it, but it's better without commercials anyway. We borrowed the 1st season from our next door neighbor and finished it in about a week. And now, due to the genius of iTunes, we're caught up on the 2nd season. must. have. more. lost. I really like the idea of watching shows on DVD for a few reasons:
- You don't have to watch all the crap (commercials are just getting trashier and trashier) that's on during the show.
- You can watch on your own time.
- It makes it easy to try out a show.
- We tend not to watch near as much TV. One of my problems is that if the TV is on, it'll stay on, whether or not I'm really interested in a program.
Our neighbor also is letting us borrow the 1st season of "House," and we're really enjoying that as well. What a great character!
Ok, ok, enough on TV shows...got to get back to work.
